Boat trip to Comino, the Blue Lagoon and sea caves

If you only book one excursion, make it a boat trip. You see the coast of Gozo and Comino best from the water, and many operators combine the Blue Lagoon and caves in one tour.

  • Half to full day, depending on the tour
  • Swim stop at the Blue Lagoon usually 1 to 1.5 hours

Frequently asked questions

Short answers before you book.

How long is the ferry to Gozo?

The car ferry from Ċirkewwa to Mġarr takes about 25 minutes. There is also a fast service from Valletta of around 45 minutes. Check current timetables with the operator.

How many days should I plan for Gozo?

Three to five days are usually enough for the highlights. On a day trip you can fit the Citadel, Dwejra and one beach, but at a rush.

When is the best time to visit?

Many recommend April to June and September to October: pleasant weather and fewer crowds. In high summer, popular tours and stays often sell out early.

Do I need a car on Gozo?

Not necessarily, but many sights are spread out. A car saves time; without one, buses and guided tours help.

Does clicking your links cost me more?

No. The provider's price stays the same. We receive a commission on a booking. More in our disclosure.
